Policies and Guidelines

ACCEPTABLE ARTWORK:

VECTOR ART (this is line art, NOT photographic art)
Fonts need to be OUTLINED (converted to paths)
300 dpi, actual size, high-resolution art
All spot blacks to be converted to 100% Process Black
Crisp black laser printer output on smooth white paper, unfolded, 200% of actual print size
High-resolution (300 dpi) color output for 4-color process

UNACCEPTABLE ARTWORK:

Web images or low resolution (72 dpi) images that appear jagged / Artwork containing FONTS that are NOT outlined (converted to paths) / Your imprint already imprinted, hot stamped or embroidered / Anything stapled, folded, clipped, taped or written on samples

Include a JPEG file for art composition reference ONLY.
Files larger than 5 MB should be mailed on disk or uploaded to our ftp site. Instructions on how to upload can be found at: www.handstandspromo.com/artftp.pdf. Please contact your Client Service Representative to alert that the art was posted.

ART TIPS / DETAILS:

Guaranteed type size is 10 pt (at ACTUAL ART SIZE).
Outline all fonts / convert to paths.
Avoid thin lines. Minimum line thickness 1.5 pt at ACTUAL SIZE.
Use solid colors (preferably send art as 100% Process Black).
Avoid halftones, screen printing turns halftones into dot patterns.
Do NOT forward art. Send art directly from original source.
Specify PMS colors when requesting a color match. Refer to UNCOATED PMS swatches. We will attempt to match all colors; however, exact matches are NOT guaranteed.

SOFTWARE USED: (Macintosh (preferred) & PC)

Adobe® Illustrator® CS2 & lower (File saved as EPS or PDF, vector format)
Adobe® Photoshop® 8 (File saved as 300 dpi / JPEG, TIFF or EPS)
Freehand® 8 (EPS) & Corel® Draw 8 (EPS)

(Microsoft® Word and PowerPoint® documents are NOT ACCEPTED)

ART CHARGES:

$75 (V) per hour for any art creation, rebuilding or clean up.
Minor typesetting (15 minutes or less) will be done at no charge.
A third revision to your paper proof is an art charge of 1/4 hour.

Policies, Ordering & Disclaimers:

CONFIRMATION PROCESS:

A confirmation and paper layout will be e-mailed or faxed to you at no charge on every order.
Production will not begin until sign-off is received, including repeat orders.
Any delays in returning proof may delay your requested ship date, resulting in possible rush charges if a deadline date must still be met.

CUSTOMIZATION: Many items can be customized to meet your specific need. Contact your
Client Service Representative for details.

DROP SHIPMENTS: Three destinations with no added charge. $5.00 (Z) per location
thereafter. FOB POINT: Draper, Utah 84020

INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS:
Upon receipt of International Orders, HandStands® will require a 50% deposit to begin production of your order. The remaining balance must be paid when the order is ready to
ship, including all freight charges.

ORDER CHANGES: All order changes must be in writing.

OVER / UNDER RUNS: Orders are produced in excess quantities to allow for product and
decoration rejects. Orders will be subject to a 5% over / under run.

PACKAGING: HandStands® products are packaged bulk unless indicated differently on
individual product pages.

PRE-PRODUCTION PROOFS:

Set up charges will apply for each pre-production proof requested.
If changes are necessary on the pre-production proof, additional set-up charges
may be charged.
Pre-production proofs are required on all large quantity orders 5,000 and above.

RETURN POLICY:

Decorated product is not returnable for refund.
Call customer service for a return authorization number on blank product.
Blank product returned is subject to a 15% restocking fee, plus all incurred freight charges.

RUSH SERVICE:
We are pleased to do HandStands® for you and offer rush service whenever possible. Please call to verify availability and charges.

SAMPLE POLICY:

One sample per style provided at no charge.
Provide preferred method of shipment with your request.
Provide UPS or Federal Express shipper number.

SPECULATIVE SAMPLES: Set-up charges apply, plus EQP cost of product for the number of samples requested.

We respectfully decline orders that contain or promote obscene or pornographic content, violence, and racism as well as illegal drugs, alcohol, or tobacco.

SUBLIMATION:

Exact color matching is not always possible with this method
Colors may vary within the run • Provide at least 1/2" Bleed
Allow variance of image placement up to 1/8” in all directions
